The 2009 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a luxurious vehicle, with a standard power sunroof, automatic headlamps with power washers, front and rear fog lamps, leather seats, heated exterior mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a harman/kardon 6-disc CD changer and memory system for the driver's seat, the steering column and the exterior mirrors. Also included on the standard equipment list are dual-zone automatic climate control and a DVD-based navigation system.
The base HSE model comes with a 300-horsepower 4.4L V8 engine, while the Supercharged version's 4.2L V8 produces 390 horsepower. Both engines are matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Commandshift transmission override control. Standard handling features on both models include dynamic stability control, active roll mitigation, hill descent control, cornering brake control and an enhanced electronic air suspension with automatic load leveling.
While the Range Rover Sport HSE is well equipped, the Supercharged adds even more items, including 20-inch aluminum wheels, stainless steel exhaust extensions, heated washer jets and wood interior trim. A new HST Limited Edition package is available on the Supercharged, adding flush-mounted front and rear bumpers, a unique grille, an extended rear spoiler, body-colored lower panels, adaptive cruise control, ebony leather with ivory stitching, a Cold Climate Package and integrated rectangular tailpipes.
Much of the Supercharged's standard equipment can be ordered on the HSE, including the Cold Climate Package as well as a Luxury Interior Package, which adds the heated windshield, heated premium leather seats, adaptive lighting and wood trim. There is also a Rear Seat Entertainment Package, Sirius satellite radio, a rear differential lock and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Supercharged can add the rear differential lock and the Rear Seat Entertainment Package as well, in addition to adaptive cruise control and 20-inch alloy wheels.

For 2009, Land Rover's Range Rover Sport gets minimal cosmetic changes, including clear taillamp and turn signal lenses, body-colored tailgate applique, and two new 20-inch wheel designs. Three new colors are offered: Bournville, Santorini Black, and Galway Green. Almond leather with Nutmeg carpet replaces last year's Alpaca seats and carpet, and the new "Noble" interior option adds a metallic plate finish to the center console sides, door handles and air vents. Acoustic laminated side glass has been added to both the driver's and passenger's doors, cutting down on wind and road noise, and the Superchaged model, known last year as the SC, can now be had with either Light Cherry or Dark Oak wood accents. The 2009 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is capable in just about any terrain, and a very powerful supercharged engine is available. Its interior appointments a terrific, with quality wood and leather trim abundant. The Range Rover Sport's list of standard safety equipment surpasses many other vehicles in its segment.
