I had an outstanding experience at Mullinax Ford of West Palm Beach while helping my daughter buy her first car. Anyone who lives in South Florida knows how tough it is to find a reasonably priced used car — the markups are insane and most dealers list cars way above Kelly Blue Book. After checking with about 15 dealerships and barely getting a straight answer (only one even sent me an “out the door” price, and that took days), I found Mullinax Ford late one night while searching for dealerships with no fees. Right away, their pricing caught my eye because it was actually fair — right in line with Kelly Blue Book. No games. No surprises. And when my daughter reached out, our salesperson, Dave McKenzie, responded immediately and was the first person in this whole process who seemed genuinely transparent. From the moment we arrived, Dave made the experience relaxed and low pressure. My daughter wanted her name on the paperwork since this was her first car, and the team immediately recognized that. In fact, they pretty much pushed me off to the sidelines (in a good way!) so she could have the full experience and feel confident doing it on her own. As a dad, that meant a lot. Charlie Munoz in finance was great as well — knowledgeable and friendly. My only small suggestion for him would be to remember that some of us come in cautious because of past experiences with other dealerships. Once I realized Mullinax really wasn’t going to slip in any hidden fees or shady add-ons, I honestly wished I had asked more questions. But even so, the financing was straightforward, fair, and far better than anything we’d been offered elsewhere. And then, to top it all off, while we were doing paperwork, a gentleman started chatting with us about the car my daughter picked. We talked for a good 10 minutes — about cars, weddings, life — before I realized he was Scott Nicolas, a partner in the Mullinax Ford Group (and a former NFL player!). There was no ego, no sales pitch — just a warm, genuine conversation that felt like chatting with an old friend. It made the experience even more memorable for my daughter. In a market full of overpriced cars and high-pressure tactics, Mullinax Ford was a breath of fresh air. Fair prices, no hidden fees, honest people, and a team that truly cares about making the experience a good one — especially for a first-time buyer. THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THE POST FROM SEPT 2025: I wrote how my experience at Mullinax was a great experience and I wanted to update that post. First, I did not purchase an expensive, new vehicle...I bought a used car. Even though I was not an affluent customer for them and didn't spend a lot of money, Mullinax treated me just as if I had purchased the most expensive vehicle on the lot. After purchasing my used car, I noticed that there was an issue with the transmission. Mullinax took the car back, sent it to the manufacturer repair shop and diligently worked with the manufacturer to repair my vehicle and make it better than ever. Mullinax also was incredibly helpful during the time I was without a vehicle. Josh, the service manager, is a really great guy and did everything he could do to get me through this and Mullinax did everything they could to get my car repaired. I've bought lots of cars in my lifetime and I never got this good of service even when I bought a brand new vehicles costing tens of thousands of dollars more than I spent at Mullinax. Great experience purchasing a used vehicle from Mullinax. Dave McKenzie made the whole process a breeze and was easy to work with. Initially wanted to look at one vehicle but I unfortunately didn't get there in time to secure it, but they had another vehicle at a different lot I was interested in. After a phone call and a small deposit, Dave had the vehicle brought down for me to inspect. The vehicle was everything as described and I inked the deal right then and there. The finance director was pleasant and helpful and explained all the options and price break down with warranty and service agreements. I'll be happy to shop with them again, and certainly will recommend my friends and family to look Mullinax up when shopping for a new vehicle or service.

I had an incredible experience purchasing my car with the help of Dave MacKenzie at Mullinax. Going into the process, I wasn’t sure where to start—I knew my credit wasn’t in great shape and I felt overwhelmed. I found a car I liked on CARFAX late one evening (around 9:30 PM) and decided to message the dealership, not expecting a reply until the next day. To my surprise, I received a response that night. I explained my situation, and Dave set up an appointment for the very next day. He showed me the vehicle I’d inquired about, which was lovely, but I also mentioned I’d be open to similar options. He wasn’t pushy at all—instead, he guided me through my options with total patience and zero pressure. That’s when he introduced me to a car that turned out to be my dream vehicle, only slightly more in price. Dave took the time to break everything down for me—from the cost comparisons to what financing might look like—while being completely mindful of my concerns about credit checks and insurance. So let me start from the beginning. About 3 years ago I called about a mustang convertible. A salesman named Dave McKenzie showed it to me. He led me through the backup procedure (who knew mustangs you have to pull up a ring to get it in reverse, I didn’t) but I ended up not buying it because my kids car seat couldn’t fit behind me. Fast forward to last week. I contacted Dave, because I remembered him through my embarrassment from a few years earlier, and told him I wanted a bronco. Gave him my budget, and he gave me an “out the door price” 5k below MSRP. One of the easiest car buying experiences I’ve ever had. I’m definitely going back to Mullinax, and specifically Dave for anything I ever need to buy for the foreseeable future. Thank you for everything, Mr McKenzie. John

Although I did not purchase a vehicle from here, I did have a very positive experience with one of the sales representatives by the name of Dave McKenzie. He greeted me to make sure I was being helped, was not pushy with any sales tactics, drove me around the lot to look at a vehicle I was interested in, worked out some numbers afterwards and directed me into the sales office where I would make my decision. The sales manager was also very upfront and accommodating. They really do follow up on their upfront pricing and no hidden fees. They also don't zap their customers with dealer-installed options or "market adjustments." This is a very honest, pro-customer business model that is getting harder to find by the day.
